TIES THAT BIND is an innovative programme designed to assist 10 producers from Asia and Europe with potential European-Asian co-production projects.
This workshop is supported by the CREATIVE EUROPE – MEDIA subprogramme of the European Union and was set up in 2009 by the FVG Audiovisual Fund, EAVE, Udine Far East Film Festival with the collaboration of the Busan International Film Festival and, starting from this year, in partnership with SAAVA (Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association), founder of the Southeast Asian Film Financing Forum (SAFF) in Singapore.
TIES THAT BIND is targeted at 10 Asian & European producers with projects. We are now opening the call in addition also to other European professionals interested in working with Asia (sales agents, financiers, distributors, festival programmers, co-production market representatives) or producers without project. 5 of them will be selected to be an active part of the group. Ties that Bind 2015 will feature again 2 workshops, the first taking place from April 28 to May 2, 2015 within the framework of the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy. The second workshop will be organized in Singapore during the Southeast Asian Film Financing Forum (November 30 – December 5, 2015). As a novelty this year, TIES THAT BIND launches its 7th edition in cooperation with the Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA), a non-profit association that seeks to unify media producers in the region. The association’s mission is to advance creative development across the region, promote Southeast Asian audiovisual content and capabilities internationally, as well as stimulate business collaborations between its members.
